After graduating from Slippery Rock University, I migrated south to Hatteras Island from Pittsburgh, PA. It wasnt an unusual destination since I have spent my summers here since I was a toddler. As I grew, I learned more about the history and recreation of the area through campground and park ranger programs. As a teenager, I began to work in retail, restaurants, and real estate the three Rs that are crucial to the economy of the area. My internships in Resort Recreation Management helped me learn the importance of customer service. I lived the experience of buying, building, and managing real estate through my familys investments in apartments and rental cottages here on Hatteras Island.
